The Leadership Team Experience is based on the Leadership Archetypes™ framework. The archetypes describe behaviors and patterns of how leaders get work done, what drives them, how they add value and how they work with others. There are no good archetypes or bad archetypes. All can have positive or negative expression —it’s all about being in balance.
We believe frameworks like the Leadership Archetypes™ framework are best when used directionally, as a tool for introspection and for common understanding with others rather than as prophecy. Rather than edicts, the archetypes are broad patterns aimed at helping leaders understand their own leadership style and that of others. We don’t believe there’s one right way to do some thing or to be successful. We know there are many paths to reach results.
Leadership Team Experience Goals:
Foster self awareness
Establish a common language
Help leaders find the best expression of themselves
Create more positive work environments
Give tools to reduce friction and increase partnership across the company
Principles
There are many ways to lead
We believe in nuance, knowing there isn’t one right way to be a potent leader. We don’t believe in pattern matching or mono cultures. We know that every style brings value.
It’s about the conversation
We know that being real and talking about the hard stuff builds relationships. Conversation brings understanding, sets expectations and eases friction, allowing us to find solutions and avoid intractable conflict.
Self awareness is a super power
We seek to be the best versions of ourselves. We’re all fallible and are works in progress. Introspection allows us to grow, sharpen our ability as leaders, have better relationships and more impact.
We’re better together
We see ourselves as one team. We eschew us vs. them thinking. We seek to bring out the best in everyone. We know that combining our strengths makes everyone better and we achieve more.
"The understanding of my archetype is the single most valuable feedback I have ever received. It is the piece of the jigsaw that has always been missing from my understanding of myself, both at work and at home. Leadership Archetypes made me make sense to myself. It will remain with me always as a light bulb moment." Anna O'Shaughnessy, CRO and CCO, Griffin Platform
